Shuddering at the thought of what "enterprise" management would do with Pomodoro.
Here is what Pomodoro is http://www.pomodorotechnique.com/. From the site:
1. Choose a task to be accomplished2. Set the Pomodoro to 25 minutes (the Pomodoro is the timer)
3. Work on the task until the Pomodoro rings, then put a check on your sheet of paper
4. Take a short break (5 minutes is OK)
5. Every 4 Pomodoros take a longer breakI have visions of enterprise project managers pacing up and down the cube aisles making sure all the minions are typing. A loud high school gymnasium timeout buzzer goes off. All the PMs yell, "SHORT BREAK!". Minions run to the restroom. Minions scatter to vending. Minions suck down the scalding swill commonly referred to as "coffee". Minions rush back to their desks, grab their big red sharpie and check off their PM assigned task. The buzzer goes off again and the PMs in unison yell, "WORK!". The PM on the tympani drum starts beating out his one second cadence and the rowers (oops) coders start typing again...
